Account Executives take a client facing role and are responsible for managing Assistant Account Executives and interns while reporting directly to the CEO. 


Account Executives are responsible for:


  • Organizing and managing account initiatives and timelines

  • Monitoring client and industry press coverage daily 

  • Writing & editing press releases, media briefs, bylined articles, corporate decks, one-pagers and presentations 

  • Participating in internal strategy development and creative process 

  • Proactively exploring new story ideas and angles 

  • Securing consistent press coverage for clients

  • Event planning, coordination, and support 

  • Client relations

  • Junior team management



  • Minimum of 3-5 years public relations and communications experience (in an agency or in-house setting)

  • College graduate, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in communications or journalism

  • Strong interest in technology, demonstrate a clear understanding or passion to learn about how things work and the impact it can have on our lives 

  • Ability to perform well under pressure, meet tight deadlines and lead a junior team

  • Existing relationships with editors, bloggers, reporters, producers and conference organizers

  • Macro-level thinking and ability to adapt to different industries

  • Communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong work ethic, self-starter



  • Creativity and ability to think outside of the box

  • Communications – general knowledge of all tools used to  support communications and branding campaigns (i.e., media relations, social media, Cision, advertising, collateral, events, digital channels, grassroots, etc.)

  • Management – time, team and project management

  • Research & surveying

  • Computer – Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Writing – news-writing (including Associated Press style format); copy (including newsletters, presentations, proposals, etc.); press material (releases, one-sheets)
